I’m not sure what type of decision maker I would be, but if I had to choose one, I would probably have to pick follower. As a follower I like to follow decisions made by other people in the past or decisions that I have made in the past, that have either failed or succeeded. I can take from the failures and learn what not to do in that situation and then just not do it. And in cases where I have succeeded, I like to replicate what I did and hope that it gives me the same outcome as before. If it fails the second time, I like to take note and try to configure why the two outcomes were different. Once I have determined why it failed once and succeeded the other time I can determine if I will reuse this strategy or if the first time when it succeeded was an outlier and just abandon the strategy all together. I believe there is a lot that we can learn from our past choices whether they are successful or failures, I guess that’s why they teach history class in grade school. So we can learn from the past mistakes of our ancestors.
